What is an IPO

An Initial Public Offering (IPO) occurs when a private company goes public, it is the first sale of stock issued by the company. IPO's can often be seen as attractive to investors as they are purchasing the stocks at the initial flat rate. Postmates

In February, Postmates CFO has announced plans for the food delivery company to go public in 2019. The company was most recently valued at 1.85 Billion USD in January.**

Pintrest

Pintrest has recently filed for a confidential IPO, reporting a company value over 12 Billion USD. The social media company is working with top American banks, with expectations to go public in June.***

Uber

Uber is reportedly preparing to go public by hiring multiple investment banks.. The ride sharing company has filed for a confidential IPO, with an estimated value of 100 Billion USD.*

Airbnb

Nathan Blecharczyk, the cofounder of Airbnb has stated that they are taking steps to be ready to go public in 2019. The travel-services company was most recently valued at 31 Billion USD.
